That is the goal of this evening...roller skating, friends and laughter. I am hopeful there will be minimum bruising and wipe outs. I have been asked for at least 5 years now by a young friend who I hold near and dear to me to go roller skating and finally here we are going at last and together.
Many moons ago I skated on a weekly at times daily basis. We had summer passes and we skated each day all day from 11-4 then back again from 6-11. It was at Wheel's the local hot spot for skating. So, now we are returning to our days of glory and going to try a new rink as the old one is no more. I have often wondered about the Monroe's who owned that place. I chummed with their daughter Laura many a day.
Well, I have things to do today - two fairy protectors to get finished. One is glued and is ready for hanging stage and the next needs to be glued and left to cure for 24 hours before I can move forward with it. I might get some glass placed into my poinsettia mosaic and I think I might get the mold ready for a stepping stone. I need more molds so that when I mix I can fill several at a time rather than just one.
Enjoy the day,
Lady of the Oak
