Camping in October

Well I am off to the campground after work today.  The car is packed and the groceries are next.  The weather looks spectacular!  Looking forward to spending time next to the fire reading a book and just enjoying the fresh air of the forest.

Company is expected on the Saturday possibly Friday.  It is with anticipation I wait for the visit of my nephew.  He is older now and spends time doing his things and our visits are not as frequent as they used to be but we still get together for quality visits.

I am attempting to roast a chicken this trip in a real roast pan, so we shall see how that goes.  The fixings for S'mores are all packed.  We have homemade stew, steaks, porkchops, and bacon as staples along with sweet potatoes, potatoes, onions and going to make campfire mac and cheese. Oh yum!

Well the preparations must continue. I bid you adieu.
