It seems that as soon as the month began the weather shifted to a cool fall day, even though there are 3 more weeks of summer. You can hardly tell by looking out at the sky or the way folks in town are bundled up in sweatshirts and wearing pants for the first time in three months. It was odd to go outside with actual clothing on yesterday due to the chill in the air.
The flowers are still blooming even though the rain was cool and the wind brisk. It is the time of year when everyone gets back to the routine. I am hopeful that I will get into a new routine this year a little more back in step and with a tad more vigor.
Yesterday included the weekly market stop and I met Joe where I was able to find dill for my very late pickle batch. I only just put green and yellow beans in the freezer yesterday and more zucchini, today and tomorrow is pickles. Tonight is garden club YAY!
That is all for this chilly September morning...
