After the Storm

We had quite the thunderstorm roll through here this morning about 6 am.  It was an interesting light show, and got very windy.  I only witnessed the beginning as I climbed back under the covers.  First thing I did upon awaking was peek out the kitchen window to see if my shade tent had survived the winds and alas it is still with us!

The Silverlace Vine is creeping along.

Clematis
The newly potted and dropped into a new spot Clematis is adjusting well and may just have a few blooms ready to be a show.  A couple of the wooden flowers that I experimented with painting over the winter are out in the garden and I snapped one this morning just boogeying along with the wind.
Today my nephew is here and I created a to do list for the next two days.  So we will be bopping about the garden and yard doing some odd jobs that require some youthfulness, height and extra pair of hands to make it an easier job.
Upon arrival home yesterday from work I could see feathers in the vegetable patch and wandered over to have a peek, it seemed to be a smaller bird, not all the bird but feathers lots of feathers.  I think it was a Starling or a young Crow as I did not see any spots to resemble a Robin.  I am not sure where they came from, how they got there or what exactly happened.  We do not have a cat and we have not seen the neighbours cat since winter when he used to sit on our back deck and front porch near the front door.  We are stumped on the cause.
Well it is time for tea, a good book and then I will rouse the Bear and get out to the garden.  We are going to see the Hangover Pt.II again tonight!
We just may have to dodge raindrops today as we putter about completing our to do list.
