Weedy, Planty, Booty Thursday...

I thought I would decipher which weeds were taking up space in my side bed near the garage.  This is the link I used to identify one of them I have a TON of buckhorn plantain in my grass - which honestly does not bother me in the least, but in my vegetable patch, my flower beds, my butterfly garden - I have begun the pulling process a few each day is the goal.  This is a great link for identifying weeds.

Yesterday included more petunia planting and since my Boston Fern was adamant that I move it to a shady location instead of the sunny spot on the back deck - I had to find a solution for privacy.  I created a planter that cost way more than it ought to buy the flowers/plants for inside of it, but if they all grow and do what they are intended to do it will look nice and give some much needed privacy from the street.

Planted an old pair of boots that I picked up and hung them on the fence out in the corner of the front of the house.
I found a pair of old made in Canada ice skates on the way home yesterday, I am going to plant those today and find a home for them for the summer sunny days - I would prefer to plant them with pink flowers for Cathy, but am trying to not spend more money on flowers - already spent too much.

This is the planter that I chose to reuse for the front porch as it has a little bit of shade in the morning but sun in the afternoon.  I put my Mother in laws tongue plant and an old spike that I had in a pot with some colours to fill it in.
That was my Thursday, planting, digging a few weeds, reading my great book by Ken Follet and chatting with a friend Liz.
Friday is here and the sun is shining in the sky, I think I will walk over to Leslie's today and see her garden since they moved last spring.  Looking forward to reading and doing my nails this afternoon for the wedding we have on Saturday out of town.
