Saturday, Saturday, Saturday

One of two Peony's to be moved and I think the Lilies can come too, the Iris' are behind the bench I will get a better picture.
Today is full of movement - I have some young strong help today and we are moving some of the sun loving perennials to the side flower bed next to the garage.  It is scattered with spring bulbs and then it just fills with weeds and looks scraggly.  Hopefully with the addition of some Iris', Peony's, and maybe a Hosta or two it will improve how this bed looks after the spring flowers have bloomed.  I have a few tomatoe plants planted in there, but we can work around them with no issues.  I am giving consideration to dropping one of the Oak trees there as well, but do not want the roots to become established as when we move they are surely coming with us.  So, that is up in the air at the moment.  I have an unidentified bush that I could also drop it would do well there with nice full sun all day.  Three Sunflowers have sprung up - they must be bird drops as I did not plant any there.  I have left them to mature as they will add some colour and height to the garden.

I have planted a few more Sunflower seeds in the Sunflower house area as a few did not survive or germinate for one reason or another.  I will plan the morning glories next week once the sunflowers are truly established.

Once we move the plants that are slated for movement I can get the grass whipper snipped under the old bench and get it cleaned up and looking neater.  I try not to move it too much as it literally falls apart a bit each time it is moved.  Our lawn guy last summer dragged it out of the way each week and it took a toll.
