Gone to the Birds!

It would appear on this first day of June that our bird feeder is dire need of replacement.  Here is why: umm, well, the birds seem to play catch with the seeds except not one bird is there to catch it, they seem to sort through which pieces of the feed they prefer, they have created a mound of bird seed under the feeder at least 6 inches deep!  So, it will be empty until the seed is cleaned up by either me or a large flock of ground seed seeking birds.

Bird hole!

Saw my violets in the kitchen window and thought, hey why not?

Such wondorous flowers.
On a completly different note, I broke down yesterday and bought petunias, my favourite summer flower for all time.  My little petunias I began from seed are struggling with the rain and cool temperatures, they are mere sprouts.  I will need at least two more flats of petunias as they smell divinely!

The minature lilac is blooming.

Enjoy the sunshine, get some much needed weeding done and move the Boston Fern <notes to self>
