Finally got to the bed at the side of the house. These had not been touched in many a year. Last year it was just keep it at bay and hope for the best, this year was a bit more of a tackle and get it under control. Just some simple twine to give the OLD grapes a chance to climb and do their thing and getting the unruly trees that are really not suppose to be there growing under the deck - just not up for crawling around a 3 foot high space trying to dig out trees. When the deck is replaced we can dig them then and move them, until then we just fed them through the deck to give some greenery and shade to the actual deck itself. Pulled a bunch of perennials yet to be identified - that is the next project for a rainy day. Gave the rhubarb some much needed space, trimmed the shrub in the far corner giving it some loving and care. Pulled a bunch of the garlic perennials I call them that because the smell like garlic when you pull them - in the early spring they have a pretty white flower but then they just go straggly. Moved about the potted trees and moved the much loved but young Oaks to the deck. Whipper snipped the area along the front and along the side and back fence.

| BEFORE - Tiger Lily, Rhubarb, Trees and weeds |
 |
| AFTER - It is cloudy b/c the lens was fogged up from the air con in the house to the garden humidity. |
The corner looks much better now too.
 |
| Bear trimmed the shrub his first cut - did a mighty fine job! |
Just pulled weeds, whipper snipped and shuffled some potted trees. The fence line looks much better now too.
We were beginning the back part of the fence and going to take on the patio stones that line the vegetable patch - but instead went to the market - saw two old friends and chatted for an hour - came home put away the tools and put our feet up. There is always tomorrow.
Seeing people that I know and like and vice versa in my little town is a pleasant surprise. Got to catch up with them and hopefully they stop by for a cold drink on a hot summer day soon.
